Optimizing Health and Well-Being
At Pinedale Wellness, we enable clients to show up every day as the most whole, authentic and resilient version of themselves. By balancing movement, meditation, breathwork and lifestyle habits, we work to optimize health span, living healthy and happily for longer. Utilizing yoga therapy, exercise and nutrition science, we create sustainable habits and practices, facilitating ease and balance across all areas of our lives.
What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga therapy uses tailored principles and tools from the yoga tradition including asana, pranayama (breath work), meditation and philosophy to work with people one on one, to empower them on their wellness journey. Yoga therapy methods bring balance to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual layers of our being. It can be used to help manage a chronic condition, address mental health challenges, reduce pain, improve mobility and much more to optimize each person’s health and well-being.
Who Can Benefit from Yoga Therapy?
If you are seeking greater contentment, self-awareness, direction, or gratitude in your life, you are well suited for yoga therapy. You may feel fatigued, anxious, or that something just isn’t “right”. These feelings can be brought on by the challenges of modern living, or connected to a major life event such as getting married, facing a separation, becoming a parent, suffering from grief, processing past trauma, navigating a career change, or moving. Sometimes discomfort can be a catalyst, and we can work together to find your path and the momentum toward a life that aligns with your true values.
While yoga therapy, personal training and nutrition coaching can address a wide range of conditions (including mental health, body recomposition, metabolic or cardiovascular disease, chronic pain and more), I specialize in working with individuals who may feel disconnected from themselves and sense something is lacking, often embracing a season of change or discontent to create lasting change reconnecting you to yourself and your purpose.
Sessions can be delivered to individuals or designed for couples/partners. Please feel free reach out with any questions about fit or expectations.
What to Expect
We meet via Zoom. This allows us to meet across broad distances and time zones, but also allows you the comfort of your own home. I recommend you set up in a quiet, private space, dressed comfortably allowing for moderate movement, with a notebook to write in.
Before we meet, I’ll ask you to complete intake forms so that I may get a clear picture of what we will be working on together. In our first session, we will go over the information to determine what your personal goals and intentions are, including any limitations or preferences. Each time we meet, we will check in and center, have discussion and utilize tools from yoga, exercise science, nutrition and evidence-based behaviors as applicable.
This will be different for each client depending on their goals. Some sessions are more heavily discussion, while others are more focused on movement, breath or guided meditation, many include elements of each. We work within your comfort level and based on your needs, each session is specific to you on that particular day and time.
